Two narrow stripes flank a deep indigo center, while hand-stitched traditional embroidery adds a one-of-a-kind, modern accent to this decorative wool pillow. Fun, fluffy hand-stitched wool pompoms adorn the corners of our Upis throw pillow, and a cotton twill back with zipper closure rounds out the functional and creative design.
Handwoven in the high Andean community of Upis on a traditional backstrap loom, this frazada wool pillow is made of thick, handspun and community-sourced wool yarn, creating a richly textured pillow reminiscent of the thick blankets, or frazadas, this region is known for.
