Pro Tips
For zones 8 and 9 we recommend some afternoon shade, but keeping the soil moist throughout your Summer Crush hydrangea’s life can keep in happy even in full sun in warm climates.
For zones 4 and 5 we recommend mulching well to protect your Summer Crush® hydrangea over its first winter. Extend a thick mound of mulch a few inches beyond the rootzone.
How to Care
Spring and fall are the best times to plant hydrangeas. Hydrangeas can be planted in winter in areas where the ground is digable and in summer with plenty of water.
The Endless Summer® Summer Crush® hydrangea enjoys full sun to part shade and moist, well-drained, fertile .
Keep the soil moist, but not saturated, especially in summer and in the first year after planting. Throughout its life this hydrangea will do best with a deep watering once weekly when it is hot and dry.
Applying mulch at about 2 inches deep is highly recommended for hydrangeas. Mulching will cut back on watering needs and protect your hydrangea plant in extreme temperatures.
Fertilize in spring with a for best results.
You don’t need to prune this hydrangea, but pruning after they are done blooming can help encourage a bushier growth and renew an older plant.
